Who we are
Ladies in Islam is a forum that creates a learning,inspiring, aspiring and a uniting space and platform for Islamic Girls, Young Women and Women in Tanzania. This forum aims to bring knowledge and skills to the challenges that Islamic women face in their socio-economic activities. Islamic women have been often dipicted as less educated, so the forum aims to remove these misleading stereotypes and to remove the socio-cultural norms that limit Islamic women to prosper in their careers. The forum targets all Islamic women across Tanzania and creates a network for women to learn from other successful women in Finance, Science, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology and other sectors.
Misson
Is to establish a dynamic and inclusive forum that serves as a transformative space and platform for Islamic women in Tanzania.
Vision
Empowering Islamic Girls, Young Women, and Women in Tanzania to excel in all facets of life, breaking stereotypes and fostering a society where they are recognized as leaders,innovators, and contributors across diverse sectors.
Our Objectives
to revive the “Islamic women solidarity” for community empowerment. To develop Islamic women’s community awareness on the position/role of Islamic women in the society through learning from different Islamic women’s successstories.

Fundraising for Marginalized groups (Orphans,Street Children,Elders, the faqir people)
Recognizing and appreciating women from different sectorsas role models to Islamic girls and young women
Madrassah Renovation, Holy Quran Texts and mats distribution
KEY MILE STONE
Officially founded and initiated operations in May 2021 with 100 , 250 in 2022 and 260 in 2023 participants during the Fasting Month of Ramadhan, symbolizing a commitment to growth, resilience, and positive transformation. Through these guiding principles, we envision a future where Islamic women in Tanzania confidently pursue their goals, contribute meaningfully to society, and inspire the generations to come.
